The Basic Structure and Functions of Rotary Evaporator

The distillation system for RE100-Pro and RE100-S Rotary evaporators has three core basic structures:
1.First is the main Rotary evaporator unit, which is the core part of the system. It includes a condenser, a rotating flask and a heating bath. The rotating flask holds the sample to be evaporated, the heating bath provides the heat needed for the sample to evaporate, and the condenser cools the vapor generated by evaporation into liquid, completing the basic evaporation process.
2.Second is the C410 vacuum pump, a blue-and-white device. Its main role is to create a vacuum environment in the distillation system. By reducing the pressure inside the system, it lowers the boiling point of the solvent in the sample, making the evaporation process faster and more efficient.
3.Third is the controller unit. It is responsible for controlling and monitoring key operating parameters of the entire distillation system, such as the vacuum level created by the vacuum pump and the temperature of the heating bath. This ensures that the distillation process runs stably according to the required settings.

RE100-Pro/RE100-S Rotary Evaporator Distillation System Structure Functions:
1.Main rotary evaporator unit (core part)
●Rotating flask: Holds the sample for solvent evaporation, providing a sealed container to prevent sample contamination during the rotary evaporation process.
●Heating bath: Supplies stable heat for sample vaporization, precisely raising the sample temperature to accelerate solvent boiling—critical for efficient laboratory distillation.
●Condenser: Cools the solvent vapor generated from evaporation, converting vapor back to liquid for solvent recovery (a key demand for cost-saving and environmental compliance in labs), thus completing the core vacuum evaporation cycle.
2.C410 vacuum pump (blue-and-white device)
●Creates a vacuum environment inside the distillation system. By reducing system pressure, it lowers the solvent’s boiling point—avoiding high temperatures that might damage heat-sensitive samples (ideal for heat-sensitive material processing) while speeding up evaporation rate and improving vacuum distillation efficiency.
3.Controller unit
●Controls key operating parameters of the entire laboratory rotary evaporator system, such as adjusting the vacuum pump’s vacuum level and the heating bath’s temperature setting (supports precise control for different solvent types).
●Monitors these parameters in real time to ensure they stay within required ranges, guaranteeing stable automated distillation operation and reducing manual oversight—essential for consistent lab sample preparation results.
